Budgeting: Dsbudget

I did a review of the envelope system before which has helped us manage our money. As we were using it, I wanted to track where my money goes even if they have been categorized through the envelopes.
I could have used excel but I wanted to have something that is more user-friendly and simple. I tried to search for software online however most of them are either complicated or not free.
Then I found out about Dsbudget. It's free and opensource and runs using your browser.

Below is an example interface of dsbudget:

Like envelope system, it works in such a way that you begin to allocate your income by categories. These categories can include your deductions like Monthly Savings, Housing and Utilities. After the deductions, then comes to sort out your budget with whatever is left. In our case, the budget portion is where our envelopes come into play. As you go through the month and spend money, you enter those expenses into each category under your budget. As you enter expenses you can keep track how much money is left in your budget.
This will help you save money and control your expenses at the same time. The only disadvantage for me is when using it with a Mac OS where it doesn't recognize the Java embedded with the program. However to overcome this issue, you can still run the program using Mac's browser via client server method though.
